SITUATION

Middleton Hall is a neo-classical house which is believed to have been built circa 1710. The house was substantially extended at the turn of the 20th century with the addition of symmetrical wings. The house is built of white painted stone under a pitched slate roof and has beautiful facades to the west and east. The central section of the house has an arched pediment above a pillared front door which is replicated by a bowed wall to the garden side with French doors to the gardens. The front façade is perfectly symmetrical with astragalled windows, ballustrading at the front door and exposed stone detail on the corners. The present owners bought the property in 1998 and have completed the re-instatement and refurbishment of the mansion to restore it as a magnificent private dwelling. In addition they have refurbished the North Lodge and upgraded the grounds - mowing fully 70 acres of parkland.
